At Jidoka, interns are not just visiting; they are an integral part of our story: we have been offering internships to TAMK students for over ten years. It has always been a matter of heart for us to give future professionals a genuine opportunity to get involved in the right projects and gain valuable work experience. This long-standing tradition is also reflected in the fact that a significant part of Jidoka\u2019s growth and current expert team has been built on the foundation of previous interns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the summer of 2026, Jenna Kivist\u00f6, a student studying to become a trade sales representative at TAMK, joined our team. She completed her marketing internship with us. Below, Jenna shares her thoughts and experiences from the past period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your first week or first day at us like \u2013 how quickly did you get into the work and felt welcome?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The start day was really relaxed, as I had the chance to get acquainted with, for example, using WordPress and the company in general. Already during the first week I was able to get involved in the work, even though there was a lot to learn. Fortunately, everyone was very helpful and friendly. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What kinds of tasks and projects were under your responsibility at us?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks. My biggest task was writing project articles and other website posts in WordPress. Other tasks and projects included creating marketing brochures, generating leads, optimizing for search engines, and writing LinkedIn posts. I also got to do competitor analysis for Jidoka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was the most interesting task, and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of the tasks were interesting, but at least writing project articles ranks high on the list. While writing them, it was nice to get to know different implementations myself and to share them with others. This also allowed me to develop my own skills in marketing content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which, in turn, was the most professionally developed or challenging task?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most challenging task was probably the competitor analysis and the related task of setting up the so-called outsider position and thinking about which companies he would buy the display from. The tasks required a lot of in-depth research, information gathering, and analytical scrutiny, but also developed my own skills in these areas. However, the most difficult part was not to favor Jidoka. \ud83d\ude04 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was the least interesting task, and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The least interesting task was probably finding leads around Finland using maps, because it was sometimes tedious and monotonous. However, the task was very useful, as I learned about lead generation and how to use the Odoo CRM system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How well do coaching and support in training work in everyday life?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The guidance and support during the internship worked really well. Help was always available at a low threshold when needed, and weekly calls were made to ask how things were going and to go over what had been done and what would be done next. The work tasks never ended, but there was always something to do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did the training supervisor manage to support even less interesting or routine tasks?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very well, we were always encouraged and praised for how well we were doing our work. Tasks were also divided up for the day so that we could do different types of tasks, so the workdays remained meaningful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What kind of team spirit and work community do you think our team has here at Jidoka?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working remotely does, of course, always bring its own challenges, but in my opinion everyone was really nice, helpful, and very welcoming to the work community. We were listened to and supported, which helped us feel important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was the biggest surprise or the most important lesson you learned from working with us?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most important lesson was how versatile marketing can be and how sales and marketing support each other. I learned a lot from the internship in other areas of marketing and software as well, so thank you for that. \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What tools or processes will you learn to use, and how do you believe they will help you in the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I learned how to use WordPress for web content and Odoota for managing business leads. Additionally, I developed my skills in content production and creating marketing materials. These skills will be useful in the future, as they have given me practical experience in using software, as well as in content production and other aspects of marketing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we were supposed to describe the training session with three adjectives, what would they be?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Versatile, developing, encouraging<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you recommend Jidoka as a training place to others, and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I definitely recommend Jidoka as a training place. Here you can immediately start working on concrete projects and develop your own skills, but you can also use the knowledge you learn in your studies. The work atmosphere is relaxed and flexible, and the people are easy to approach and pleasant. I personally gained a good and valuable experience of what working in marketing can be like in practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
