Located in Sastamala, Vexve Areena is a hall owned by the Sasky-koulutuskuntayhtymä, suitable for playing sports such as volleyball, basketball, floorball and futsal. The hall also serves as the home ground for the men's volleyball league team VaLePa.
A 12-square-metre LED scoreboard has been delivered to the Arena Sports Hall, making it even easier to follow games. Thanks to its wide range of sports, the system adapts flexibly and easily to every sport.
The investment in a new scoreboard will bring match events into a new era, enabling the arena to better meet the demands of both elite athletes and hobbyists.
Nivalan Monitoimihalli (Multi-purpose Hall)
Nivalan Monitoimihalli (Multi-purpose Hall) is a hub for various events, culture, and sports, completed in 2023. The multi-purpose arena has regulation-sized playing fields for sports such as volleyball, basketball, floorball, futsal, and badminton.
We installed a large scoreboard, approximately 20 square metres, along with shot clocks above the baskets in the still unfinished hall. Thanks to the modern system, the hall's three existing smaller displays were integrated into the overall setup. The scoreboard system can also be controlled flexibly when the space is divided into different sections.
In addition to match results, displays can be effectively utilised for digital advertising.

DISPLAY WALL
We implemented display solutions supplied by Jidoka Technologies Oy in our store at Koskikeskus, Tampere, at the beginning of December 2016. Our goal was to capture the attention of shopping centre visitors with our striking advertising material and more effectively guide them to our store to make purchases. We succeeded in this goal very well, and this particular solution was immediately evident as a strong increase in Christmas sales. Based on the results, we estimate that the solution will pay for itself within the first year of use.
As a supplier and partner for in-store visual communication solutions, Jidoka Technologies Oy is accurate, reliable, and provides excellent service. Jidoka has supported us in finalising advertising materials and has been quick and flexible in uploading new materials to our Display Wall. Cooperation with Jidoka has gone excellently, and we intend to acquire more in-store visual communication solutions from Jidoka. I warmly recommend Jidoka Technologies Oy as a supplier of visual communication solutions.
Giant tablet
We have made progress with Aukia in line with their wishes, and have occasionally highlighted the latest innovations in Digital Signage. We supplied a 43″ Giant Tablet to the Tampere Aukia store to serve customers even better. We previously wrote in more detail about bringing an online store into a physical shop. Read Timo's thoughts, now that the Giant Tablet has been assisting in the store for several months:
The large 'Jidoka' tablet in the store, located in close proximity to the fitting room area, serves effectively as both a support for sales staff and customers in showcasing the product range. Through the tablet, a sales assistant can easily present customers with various product options and availability information, not only from their own store but also from the chain's and the online shop's selections. The user-friendly interface has also ensured that customers can independently explore the store's current promotions and new product arrivals.

84″ Giant Display Tower
We delivered an 84” horizontal Giant Display Tower to the clothing store to attract customers to Aukia's Kamppi store in Helsinki. Aukia Menswear is a fashion house for men, established in 1956.
Aukia's Kamppi store commissioned an eye-catching advertising display solution from us to attract passers-by to their store on the 4th floor. The chosen location was as visible as possible, right by the entrance, offering a direct view from the escalators on the upper floor. This allows for effective material to capture the attention of people passing by.
Serres Group Oy
In December 2018, Jidoka Technologies Oy delivered a video wall approximately 2.2 metres wide and 1.2 metres high, consisting of four 49” Full HD panels. The LCD video wall was installed in our meeting rooms as part of our video conferencing system. The delivery included the hardware, its installation, and an operational training.
The Jidoka employees were active and interested in us from start to finish. All our follow-up questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. From the outset, the honest and open discussion, as well as the genuine desire to serve us, impressed us. The quality of the solution met our requirements, and its price was competitive. These factors led to our decision to procure the video wall we needed from Jidoka.

Munkkiniemen Seurakunta (Parish), Munkkivuoren Kirkko (Church)
Video wall for a church
Munkkiniemen Seurakunta purchased a 3x3 video wall to Munkkivuoren Kirkko. The aim was to offer churchgoers, as well as future users, modern visual experiences as part of the overall concept. Before installation, the entire setup was carefully planned, taking measurements from the site and inspecting the installation location. Before the proposal, photographs were taken of the site, and a draft image was provided of the final proposal, showing what different solutions would look like at the location.
A custom mounting solution was made for the Munkkivuoren Kirkko, onto a brick wall. By designing together, the best possible location was chosen. With a sufficiently large video wall, a surface area of the right size was created in the space, which is sure to be visible all the way to the back row.
We interviewed parish vicar Leo Gladia asking for his comments and feelings after several months of use.
From idea to action
The whole idea has been simmering in the background for a long time for Vicar Glad. The idea gained momentum again when the management team visited London and Manchester. – We saw how in the living and growing churches there, in all of them, they had these video walls. We dreamed with the leadership team that maybe one day we would want one too.
Versatile use
The video wall was put to good use immediately when Munkkivuoren Kirkko hosted the MunkkaLove music event, which appealed to visual and auditory senses. – At MunkkaLove, people from the area were asked for their song requests. We hired an orchestra and invited people to events; the churches were completely full three times, and a crucial part of these was this video wall. During the events, the wall displayed interviews, song lyrics, pictures of the original performers, etc.
The video wall enabled versatile use of the space, with wireless solutions allowing the choir or the organist's playing to be showcased via the screen. The large screen also allows special events to be highlighted even better, for example in children's Christmas plays.
A large surface, along with lighting, can also strongly appeal to emotions. It makes it an even more powerful experience. Just yesterday I was looking at a situation where if there was nothing like this, then as this is such a big church, you are far away and cannot see the child's expressions properly.
The arrival of the video wall has also brought increased enthusiasm for planning. – When I know up to half a year in advance when it's my turn to preach, I start thinking about the topic visually. The acquisition has brought new enthusiasm. At the same time, new ideas have also emerged regarding the versatile use of the church, ranging from screening major sporting events to film series with a Christ theme.
After we had agreed on the installation and delivery with Jidoka, that's how it went. The video wall turned out to be quite successful. One might think that installing a large video wall could easily spoil such a sacred space in a church. But in this case, working together, they found a place for it that makes it even better. A simple and clear process.
– Leo Glad, Vicar
Message-first communication
We wanted to reach a younger demographic, in this day and age where we've become accustomed to this kind of visual communication. Our culture has become very visual, visual communication is everywhere: on televisions, trams, in shopping centres or on social media. It's part of people's lives, they've become used to receiving and reading messages visually.
The tool is a message, the fact that we have such a tool in itself tells that we are trying to take the operating environment seriously, that we are living this life just like everyone else.
– The aim with this visual aspect is not so much to achieve understanding, but rather to reach an emotional level, to generate emotional experiences. In this, the visual aspect and music are very much of this time.
The video screen is not an end in itself, but merely a tool. It is a tool with which we try to reach people and become relevant in people's lives. In that respect, the church's position has changed; it's not enough for the church to simply exist, people need to *experience* what it has to offer. That's what draws people in.”
Vicar Glad emphasizes the importance of the message – Showcasing great photos and videos isn't the end goal in itself, but rather a tool for engaging people and bringing meaning and purpose, help and support, joy and sorrow, into people's lives.
eCraft – Big LCD video wall
eCraft It is an internationally awarded IT company employing over 280 experts in Espoo, Tampere, Vaasa, Turku, and Malmö. The company is Finland's largest Microsoft Dynamics supplier and a leading Adaptive and Qlik consulting firm.
eCraft's offices were renovated in Säterinportti, Espoo, and as part of this, a large LCD video wall was built in the lobby. The client was looking for a high-quality, cost-effective solution that would suit the space for their new lobby. We were able to meet the tight delivery schedule, as the space, including the functioning video wall, needed to be completely ready in the coming months.
We sourced several different options from Jidoka in various size categories, after which we ordered a 2x2 video wall assembled from 55” panels that proved to be suitable.
The end result was what was expected from eCraft: ”The site supervision and communication during the project were exemplary. All questions were answered quickly, and the entire video wall matter was resolved swiftly!”
Äänekosken Kiinteistönhoito Oy (Property Management)
Äänekosken Kiinteistönhoito. Two large and striking video walls have been installed in the meeting rooms. In varying lighting conditions, the video walls are visible to all meeting participants, even when the room has a lot of natural light. Combined with wireless information sharing, the LCD video walls are the perfect companion for meetings.
Combined with Jidoka's expertise and the client's needs, a cost-effective solution was found. Building the video walls went smoothly for the installation crew and both parties were satisfied with the end result.
BC Nokia – Perimeter screens at the side of the basketball court
Perimeter displays for basketball
For BC Nokia Advertising perimeter boards were delivered to the edge of the field. These allow a successful basketball club to sell diverse advertisements for matches.
Kerava-sali (Hall) adaptable LED display
In November 2021, Jidoka installed a 24m² LED screen at Keuda House's Kerava-sali, a versatile space. The bright and sharp display is extremely adaptable thanks to its ease of disassembly and reassembly. The same cabinets can be quickly assembled into a larger screen or a series of smaller display units, entirely depending on the requirements of each event and presentation. For the same cost, instead of one large screen, they acquired a versatile LED display that enhances the overall usability of the space – whether for a concert, stage production props, or for instance, a seminar.
The new screen was immediately put to use when, the weekend after installation, the hall hosted a memorial concert for Aikka Hakala:

”"”Delivery was made within an excellent timeframe, and the personnel who carried out the delivery performed their work excellently.”"” – Jussi Kaatrasalo, service manager, Keuda's meeting and event services
The delivery of the entire project went brilliantly and a satisfied customer praised both the quality of work and the staff's expertise. The screen can display video files in addition to pictures during all concerts and events, which bring an extra layer to the performance and entertain spectators without detracting from the performers.
